Tony (Sam's Husband) has been battline Melanoma for a while now.
Tony (Sam's Husband) fell on Thursday and sustained a femur/hip fracture due to a tumor in his right leg. We went to a NC facility and got transferred to be closer to home yesterday. There has been an entourage of doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists descending upon us since we arrived in the MICU at Centra. Testing has been constant to assess the entire situation since Tony has been supine with a broken leg with no intervention for days. Tony is requesting prayer. He is very scared. My family is my world and has helped me to face the last week, you know who you are and I don't want to miss anyone! Please lift Tony up for pain relief, rest from the relentless pain and strength to get through this surgery. As of right now, please pray specifically for the medical team at Centra. We are blessed to be back home and in a competent, caring facility.
Surgery Update: Cancer has ravaged Tony's femur. NO weightbearing for months and not sure that he will ever walk on it. Focus on preventing infection. Weeks in the hospital and months in rehab.
