Hey everyone, this is Caleb and Alaina Shreve; here to share our story and situation in hopes of finding some relief while I am on maternity leave.

We are expecting baby number four in seven short weeks! We are over the moon excited and equally (honestly if not more) anxious for how to survive the initial first weeks of his life.

Caleb has an incredible full time job with TD Industries where he is able to work over time any chance he gets. He works so hard for us and without complaint.

I have been able to find work part time at our local coffee shop; Rollin Beans. While it has been a blessing to our family; it doesn’t meet all our financial needs and I have been looking for a second part time job for the days I am not scheduled.

Between work and caring for our home; our family has been to the hospital a total of eight times in the 7.5 months.

We have gone to the drs twice for my pregnancy which were out of pocket costs; that we had to find a way to pay for the safety of Ronans life.

Each of the other children have been checked into the hospital at minimum once each for illness and seizures.

In November of 2023 Caleb (who has battled back pain for five years) had an adrenal incident where he caught a 200 pound barrel with one side of his body that brought his back pain to an all time high.

Between the hospital, dr, CT & MRI scans, we have had to find money (where money hasn’t been able to be found) to pay for these times out of pocket or he wouldn’t have received the medical attention he needed.

Now it is a day before February and we are still seeing a spine specialist who is dragging his feet but collecting his money.

We have cut all expenses outside of groceries, gas, and Netflix; paying only for bills and the emergencies we keep collecting.

Which has left us empty handed for maternity leave savings.

The money we raise from this go fund me goes directly to paying for the remaining out of pocket dr appointments for Caleb’s spin and Ronans last few appointments. It will pay for our rent and groceries while I am on maternity leave for 8 weeks.

I am scheduled for a cesarean due to Alaska being an emergency cesarean where they cut something crooked during the procedure causing me to be ineligible for a VBAC. I will also be receiving a tubal ligation; leaving maternity leave at a minimum of 8 weeks.

We have almost everything we need for Ronans arrival due to the kindness of our family and friends and from things saved from Alaska.

We are praying the Lord continues to provide and make a way; despite everything standing against us.
