Sibling bereavement fundraiser

We are 3 siblings (Ciara, Aisling & Elliott) who are looking to raise awareness and to help raise funds to help support "Jacintas smile". Our brother Elliott is away traveling and cant take part,  but myself and Aisling will be taking part in a hike to the summit of 3 of Sligo’s most iconic peaks (Benbulben, Knocknarea & Knocknashee) in one day, Saturday 31st August 2019. 

This is the first fundraising event that we have chosen to take part in as this cause is very close to our hearts.

"Jacinta's smile" is a sibling bereavement support that was set up by 3 sisters who sadly lost 3 of their siblings.  Their aim is to help those brothers and sisters that may be feeling empty or full in their sorrows and grief, to know that they are not alone in their heartbreak.

Unfortunately, our story is similar to their story. In September 2010, our sister, Selina, passed away suddenly and tragically, aged 24. And in May 2014, our brother, Harry, passed away suddenly and tragically, also aged 24.

With the funds raised "Jacintas smile" creates some active, exciting and fun filled adventure days for the Siblings of Loss which also gives them the opportunity to make new friends and connect with others in the same head space.
