If you know me, you know that I'm way too nice to people, often to a fault. Like, to the point of giving away thousands of dollars because I feel like a "friend" needs the money more than I do. Or buying somebody a car so we can hang out more often. Today, I'm hoping some of that good karma will come back to me. If you don't know me...well, now you do.
Apparently, in the past year, my teeth have grown terribly sick, and I need some pretty serious dental work done, to the tune of $8000, after insurance and discounts. Plus, in a cruel twist of fate, the diagnosis comes just after I've spent most of my savings helping my best friend (an actual good person, not a fake like so many others) escape a dangerously unhealthy living situation. I don't regret it at all, but at this point I literally don't have the money to save my teeth. If I don't get them fixed soon, I could lose some permanently.
I'm so used to giving help rather than asking for it, so this is awkward for me. But I'm still paying off past debts. $8000 additional will sink me. So I'm asking for whatever you can spare.
