Sidney Holmes

Sidney Holmes was wrongfully convicted and given a 400-year sentence in 1988 in which he served 34 years for a crime he did not commit. For decades, Sidney maintained his innocence while he investigated his wrongful conviction and fought for his freedom. on March 13, 2023 his prayers were answered and he was finally exonerated, and released from incarceration, and became a free man. Although it was a celebratory day because the hardest part was over , the work here is not done. Sidney has a tough journey ahead for him.   After serving 34 years in prison entering this new world without any resources is hard and we can't let that happen He has suffered enough. He needs to be financially secure. We, as a community, can provide that for him   He now has to rebuild a new life for himself ,regaining your place in society is hard Specifically when trying to do so without the basic necessities that you need to survive, let alone thrive, in today's world. Sidney is in need of Dental care and medical care that he was deprived of while incarcerated. Our mission here and our duty as a community is to give a man that has been deprived of so much, a fair shot at reclaiming his rightful place in the world.   We ask for you to please help Sidney get the financial security he needs to have a good start at a new life.
