Amazonian Medicinal Healing House
Donation protected
“With the invasion of palm oil monoculture and the oil companies that open great roads through the virgin forest, we are very close to losing more biodiversity in the Amazon. In Siekopai territory the knowledge of medicinal plants is being lost. For this reason we are creating a center to recuperate our plants, wisdom and our education.”
- Jimmy Piaguaje, Leader of the Siekopai
(Siekopai means “The multi-colored people”. They are an indigenous nation located in the Northern Ecuadorian Amazon Rainforest.)
We need to raise $25,000 to create a center to heal, to educate and to reforest medicinal plants. With your support we will be able to buy a canoe and the materials needed to construct two houses that will run on solar energy with satellite internet; with a plant nursery to grow medicinal plants, fruits, hardwoods, and other amazonian superfoods. The vision is to serve to protect the conservation of virgin forests in the Siekopai territory of the Amazon. We will also receive local and international visitors who are interested in Amazonian plants and traditional indigenous medicine. Thank you for your support!
Labor - $7,853
Fuel - $1,490
Supplies, Materials & Tools - $7,558
Transportation, Canoe & Engine $8,099
TOTAL AMOUNT = $25,000
Thank you love and light,
