Sienna Maeve Bond - Leukaemia Battle

Ariel and Josh noticed on Saturday afternoon that Sienna's leg was larger and she was pale, so made an appointment to see the doctor for first thing Sunday morning. After waking up on Father’s day they were concerned and took her straight to the Prince Charles Children’s emergency department in Brisbane, where Drs immediately ran blood tests, scans and x-rays and diagnosed leukaemia. 



Sienna was rushed by ambulance to the Queensland Childrens hospital in South Brisbane where she had further testing and transfusions, she was sedated and had a breathing tube put in, and underwent a lumbar puncture and sadly Sienna was diagnosed with high risk Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia(ALL) which is extremely serious and rare. Sienna has now been admitted to start a long journey of chemotherapy and treatment. 



Sienna is just 3 months old and is the brightest and most beautiful little baby with the biggest smiles. My sister Ariel was due to go back to work in the coming months, and now cannot do so. Josh also needs to be at the hospital with Ariel and Sienna, to support and be together in this very difficult time. 



Financial help is the best way to support them apart from prayers, and they have asked for no flowers at this time. If you cannot give it’s not a problem at all, they would appreciate all prayers and thoughts and well wishes. Please leave messages of support here for Ariel and Josh to see. 



100% of all money given will go straight to Josh and Ariel to support them in the ongoing costs not covered by medicare, such as hospital parking, food for them, potential relocation of their home so they can be closer to the hospital, car payments and the many other costs that will come up. 



Practical local support will be coordinated by one person at a later date and updates will be shared by myself or my family, please do not contact them directly as they are under immense pressure. 



My parents and 8 siblings who live and work in Singapore, have never met Sienna, are struggling to find a way home to support Ariel, Josh and Sienna due to flight availability, sold out flights until at least late November and they need a waiver from the Australian Government border quota. We need  the Government and Airlines to move some mountains. My brothers and I who live in NSW are also not able to be with them due to border closures between NSW and QLD.
