12 year old Sienna Smith, fighting brain cancer learns how to tattoo...
Sienna Smith (@sienna_smith522)
Twelve year old Sienna Smith has been fighting Pineoblastoma, which is a rare, aggressive type of cancer that begins in the cells of the brain’s pineal gland. She has been through 6 rounds of intensive hospitalized chemotherapy, 3 rounds of stem cell transplants and continues to fight this vicious disease with more treatments schedule in the near future.
Sienna has a passion for ART and LIFE which helps her fight this ugly disease.
Her life is not about cancer but how she fights through this disease and still lives her life to the fullest. She is the strongest and bravest kid I have ever met.
Her passion for art attracted her to the tattoo shows on television and dreams to be a tattoo artist one day. Her mom contacted me and explained the situation to me and asked if I would be willing to show Sienna how to tattoo. I explained to her not only would I show her but I will also let her tattoo me after the lesson was complete.
This video was intended to capture this moment for Sienna and her family for years to come and also bring awareness to everyone that has children and families all over the world that are affected by cancer.
Please do your part in life and help in anyway you can.
From what I witnessed in the short amount of time I (@ajchionchio) spent with Sienna is that she is a very energetic, passionate kid. She pays attention to what’s being explained to her and is eager to learn. She stays focused on what she wants to learn. Sienna is mature beyond her years and is not going to let anything slow her down. There are some adults that do not have a quarter of her obstacles or half of her drive to accomplish a goal. She is an inspiration to me and many people in the world. It was an honor to spend time with her and teach her the craft of tattooing. I can’t wait for her to be old enough to do an apprenticeship because she is going to make a phenomenal tattoo artist.
Billie Eilish @billieeilish is her favorite musician so the song “Everything I Wanted” was incorporated into the video and also Sienna and her family are very grateful for THE RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE in Philadelphia for the wonderful hospitality for three months during the height of Covid and her treatment.
