Help Save A Life! Sierra Arteaga Family Fundraiser

My name is Jessica Reading, former resident of Monmouth, IL.
I have created this GoFundMe campaign in attempt to raise funds for my "sister" Maria Arteaga Sierra (former long time employee of US Cellular in Monmouth, IL)
Picture this:
Your spouse has been feeling ill so they go see the doctor for a routine check up. When they return home they share some devastating news. They are experiencing organ failure and their time left here with you are your children is limited unless they are able to get a transplant in the very near future. How does one process that kind of news? I would imagine at first there is complete shock, then heartbreak and devastation, then an overwhelming desire to do EVERYTHING in your power to keep your spouse alive.
Well someone very important to me is experiencing such a traumatic event in her life right now. Maria, former longtime employee of US Cellular in Monmouth (and my Partner in Crime), is desperately trying to save the life of her husband and the father of her three young children. He is currently attending dialysis twice a week to buy more time but that takes away from any ability to save funds for the surgery. They have located people willing to donate a kidney, but unfortunately they lack insurance coverage which means they will be required to pay out of pocket upfront for the procedure. As you can imagine, such a procedure is extremely expensive.
I know with this pandemic that finances have been tough on everyone. I am asking anyone and everyone to look into their hearts and help me help this family. Any amount would be greatly appreciated.
There are close to 10,000 people in Monmouth. If I can get 1,000 (one-tenth of the population) of those people to each donate $25.00 then we've met our goal. Could you sacrifice a family pizza night to help save a life? How about 5 starbucks drinks? 3 packs of cigarettes? 2 cases of beer? That super cute pair of shoes or new purse? A manicure?
People love the idea of paying it forward at a drive through at McDonalds because you want to make someone else's day. Here is your chance to pay it forward for three young children to have their daddy around to be a part of those countless important milestones in their lives.
