Support Sierraloaded Nationwide Coverage of Sierra Leone 2023 Elections
Sierra Leoneans will go to the polls on 24th June 2023 to cast their votes in the presidential, parliamentary and local councils’ elections.
Similar to the 2018 election, the 2023 election is expected to be tightly contested following an increase in voter registration in several province across the country.
President Maada Bio, flagbearer of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) will face stiff competition from the opposition All People’s Congress (APC) and National Grand Coalition (NGC).
Members of Parliament will also be elected by proportional representation, after a presidential decree by President Bio in October 2022 abolished the first-past-the-post system that had been used since 2008
In lieu of the forthcoming elections, Sierraloaded, Sierra Leone’s leading digital media platform will be embarking on a 24/7 election coverage to bring the latest and breaking election updates to you.
