Dear family, friends, and kind supporters

I am reaching out to you today through this GoFundMe campaign with a heavy heart and a hope for kindness during an overwhelming and challenging time.

Sierra and Joshua, my dear children, by marriage and by birth - you matter, you are loved, and you are not alone. Because of everyone who rallies around you.

It was not long ago when you said “I do” to life together and excitedly looked into the future. I received the best Christmas gift in December 2022 of an ultrasound picture ornament - with the first grandbaby to be welcomed into our family! The best surprise! We laughed together and imagined how life would be. Baby Reese came with fireworks and was loved from the first minute. You prepared and figured it out how to be mom and dad looking ahead with excitement drawing from life as it should be… but rather life quickly began drawing from you. Because when the doctor said, “congratulations, you have a beautiful baby girl!..,” they also said, “we have found something in your spine… a tumor.”

Since then many doors have closed making the circumstances bleak, but despite that you continue to fight your fight. While many of the hopes and dreams since then will need to take the back seat to the devastation that was not planned or expected. One diagnosis - the name that is too hard to pronounce - the harder yet to withstand the multitude of appointments that have followed and a glimmer of hope… then taken away… again the cycle continues: more appointments and hope, which seem to fade. You are so brave, so-so strong, and so-so loved.
