Sifa Maamas Daddy-Fund4baby Manaia

I am writing this with the heaviest of hearts
Siosifa Maama
a father, a son, a younger brother, and uncle was called home to Heaven early by God in the late hours of July 19, 2017.

It's every families worst nightmare to lose a loved one and as of July 19, my grand-baby will grow up without a father due to a senseless act of violence in the workplace.

Sifa was an unarmed security guard at his guard job.

Sifa was taken too soon. Sifa was to celebrate his 22nd birthday on the 21st of July. He is survived by his 20 month old daughter Manaia (who he loved so much), sister (and three nieces), mother and father.

I am writing this on behalf of my grandchilds family who needs help with burial/memorial expenses. This was so unexpected.  But as of July 29, Atelaite Hafoka (Maama) asked Manaia's mommy to keep the donations from gofundme and put it in a savings for Manaia, because they had their family and friends raise and donate to them directly towards Sifa's Memorial/Burial expenses.

Due to Atelaite asking Manaia's mommy to put all funds into a savings that would be for Manaia, the money donated to gofundme will no longer be directly given to Sifas  sister, Ite, per her instructions to use it for Manaia.

A check will be sent to me by Godundme and I am
putting it directly in the savings account created for Manaia. I am Sifa's mother in law as well as the grandmother to he and my daughters beautiful child.

The memorial took place August 5th Saturday 2017. And today, August 8th, Sifas body was flown to Tonga.

Sifa was a star kicker throughout his high school years up to the year 2014 for the Serra Football team. He was also an exceptional Rugby Player.  Sifa is very athletic.  If you look up his name you will see so many news stories on his great kicks at Serra High.  He was a kid with more than potential and one with so much kindness.  Sifa is the most respectful and kindest person you could ever meet.

He was part of our family for the past 6-7 years.  This is all hard to still comprehend.

Sifa was taken away from his daughter and family way too soon.  His only sibling had to plan for his resting place.

Along with all this emotional stress and physical pain, comes the financial responsibilities that this type of tragedy entails.

It is in these times of loss and sadness when I call out for support. During these times we get to see so many people come together to help one another & to support the people we care for.

I am pleading with our Serra Family,
Polynesian community and our South Bay community that if you can find it in your heart to donate, we will be eternally grateful.  I am calling out to everyone, family and friends, to please donate at least one dollar. A dollar goes a long way.  Trust me, it really does.

We lost someone dear to us and not having him here with us all is still the most surreal feeling.

Thank you for anything you can contribute at this time of need
