Jiwon Lee, Founder of Sightshare - “When I was 10 I got an eye surgery called entropion surgery. And it was one of the scariest experiences I had to undergo alone. Not to mention, my best friend’s mother, who is blind, had been treated poorly by kids my age. I thought there was a lack of education regarding the visually impaired, therefore I believe it is important to draw attention to those who are visually impaired and/or blind to society in general through the creation of sightshare”
Sightshare is a student-led organization that was created to create an inclusive and supportive environment for all who are going through difficulties regarding their eye health. Many individuals who are met with these eye problems are often persecuted for their disability and struggle in their day-to-day life. As Sightshare, we create an environment that is welcoming to those who are going through these struggles. We try our best to create happiness and joy all around the world!
