Sigma Phi Epsilon Golden Heart 2024
Donation protected
Each year, Sigma Phi Epsilon at Truman State University hosts a week-long charity competition where campus nominees compete to be crowned the "SigEp Golden Heart."
This year, we aim to reach our goal of raising $10000 for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) in honor of beloved SigEp brother Nate Aldrich who took his life in December 2021. Nate embodied every quality of a great man and created an inspirational legacy that we hope to continue by gaining support for this cause. Established in 1987, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is a voluntary health organization that gives those affected by suicide a nationwide community empowered by research, education and advocacy, working to combat the third leading cause of death among young people aged 15 to 24.
We ask that you consider assisting us in reaching our $10000 goal for this event. In addition to the money donated to the AFSP, a portion of the money raised will go towards a scholarship honoring Nate that will be awarded to a Truman State student that embodies the principles he held close to his heart.
