Silas Kole Sweeney hospital bills

Silas Kole Sweeney is 6 years old. Diagnosed with Specific Antibody Deficiency, Sonic Hedgehog Related Disorder, Asthma, and Laryngeal Malaysia. Recently, just during his Kindergarten year, he was on a ventilator for 3 separate occasions. He had Pulminary Embolisms during his second event which he now has overcome. His Specific Antibody Deficiency is the main cause of his problems and the Asthma doesn't help. He catches pneumonia when he gets sick. During his hospital stays, he has tested positive for Influenza H, Rhino and Interoviruses, RSV, and Strep and we have had fairly long PICU in St. Louis Children's Hospital stays and some time at Cox in Springfield Missouri. The shortest 11 days in Oct. 2021. 14 days late Sept./early Oct. 2022. 38 days Nov./Dec. 2022. Most recently, 18 more days mostly in April 2023. After this most recent, he still has not been able to pass a swallow test which is another pneumonia risk. His fluids are thickened to hopefully keep him from aspirating. 

We owe roughly $42,000 so far in medical bills from what health insurance hasn't covered for our family. We decided that I will be babysitting/homeschooling both Silas and Archer full time from this point forward to keep Silas from sickness in public schools in hopes that Silas will be at less risk and hopefully safer. This will cut our family income in almost half. Silas has been on Hizentra infusions every week since January 27th 2023. Some of his videos you can find on tiktok searching #breatheasysilas.
