**update: Thank you for everyone who has donated. Unfortunately Silas had an underlying condition that was exacerbated by his traumatic surgery. He went into heart failure and the most ethical thing for him was euthanasia. My heart breaks and holds a lot of guilt that I couldn’t save him. He was the best kitty ever. He would have turned anyone he met into a cat person!

Hey everyone! This is my snuggle bug, Silas Junipurr a 15 month old rescue who has stolen my heart. A few months ago I noticed he wasn’t eating enough and he started losing weight. A trip to the vet found that he had Stomatitis which is very uncommon for juvenile cats.

They put him on steroids and referred him to a Veterinarian Dentist. We tried holding off extreme treatment even getting a second opinion. But it all came back to going to the Dentist and potentially having some teeth extracted. After more extensive examination under anesthesia it was found Silas had stage 3 periodontal disease, stomatis and ulcers. It was decided all his teeth would need to be removed and some of his jaw bone would need to be drilled to remove the disease that had seeped into his bone.

As a graduate student, I have tapped into all of my savings to save my best friend. I’m humbly asking my fellow animal loves for any donations they feel they can spare. Thank you so much for your time and graciousness.
