Silas's Camps Kenya Expedition

My name is Silas Hannant I’m aged 14 and am from Dereham, Norfolk. In the summer of 2024, at the age 16 I am going on a month long expedition to Kenya with my school (Dereham Neatherd). It is a project lead expedition and I’ll be working throughout my time there – environmental work such as beach cleans and recycling, community work such as building accommodation and worming farm animals, and conservation work such as building Elephant barriers around villages.

I’m really excited about this, I feel I can make a little bit of difference to the lives of others, but will also be good for me. It will be an incredible way to start being a grown up.

My plan is to entirely raise all the money myself, the cost is £3960 which will be a life lesson and experience in itself!
