Silver Top Uniforms!

Greetings! We are the Silver Top Dancers from Castlemaine, Victoria. Our group represents seniors aged 60-87 and we dance twice a week at Movement Zone Studio. As the Silver Top classes have grown, the social aspect has become crucial, and we regularly catch up for coffee and excursions and are there to support one another. Additionally, we have performed and spoken at seniors week events and for organisations, including The Hush Foundation, Castlemaine Health, Bendigo City Council, Mount Alexander Shire Council, and more.

To reach more seniors in the community and bring movement to them in an affortable way, such as taking our shows and classes to places like aged care homes, we recently decided to form an incorporated organisation for Silver Tops. Our board members are made up of Silver Top members and a council member. In addition to this, we hope to enter Australia's Got Talent!

A local graphic artist has designed our logo, and now we need a uniform to make our presence known. This is the goal we are trying to reach through fundraising, so we are calling the local community and beyond for help in reaching our goal.

People of varying physical and psychological abilities can experience the benefits of dance in a safe, fun and non-judgmental environment. As well as providing all the benefits of dance and bringing us back to our younger, fitter selves, dance allows for movement despite injury and impairment. Through dance, a person can balance their physical and emotional health. Despite injury and impairment, dance provides all the benefits and the music that transports us back in time. With Silver Tops, you'll learn traditional dance techniques in Funk, Jazz, Contemporary, Rock 'n' Roll & Hip-hop, and advanced exercises to improve flexibility, strength, & body movement.

Most of all we are about bring the aging community together through fun and fitness!
