Silverado Flood Relief Fund
Donation protected
Dear friends and neighbors,
You may have witnessed on the recent news that the Bondfire burned community of Silverado Canyon just received a big blow from Mother Nature which caused mud & rock debris to overflow creeks and slide down into neighborhoods and homes. So far one home on Wildcat canyon road is inundated with rock debris and the resident is homeless.
This is just the beginning of our wet season, and we have more dangerous debris dams lurking above our neighborhoods ready to come raging down the water channels.
We have been very proactive to protect our homes, roads and our lives. Evacuations are often, and the aftermath cleanup is horrendous and exhausting. Expensive heavy equipment is needed to move tons of mud and rock debris. In areas where this heavy equipment cannot reach, digging by shovel with numerous volunteers is necessary.
If you can help us with a gift donation, be assured it will be used wisely to help residents dig ourselves out of the mud. If you are wanting to volunteer , please contact us for details. If you’d rather Venmo a donation, send to @Chalynn-Peterson.
Thank you, sincerely,
Brett & Chay Peterson,
Silverado residents & community volunteers.
