Back in September of 2019, Todd was diagnosed with colon cancer. The doctors removed 1/3 of his colon and determined he had Stage 1b colon cancer with no chemotherapy needed. There was a 3-5% chance that the cancer could come back.
Fast forward 15 months, Todd has Stage 4 colon cancer now that has spread to his liver. There is a low chance of surviving 5 years. Todd started chemotherapy last week and will continue a couple days a week for 2-4 months to hopefully shrink the tumor in his liver. If this is successful, there will be a surgery to remove what cancer is still there. It is in a dangerous spot close to the portal vein, so they hope to shrink with chemo to make surgery less dangerous.
This would be ALOT for any family, but to add this news on top of 2020 and all the unknowns with work for Barb. Due to covid restrictions, she has been out of a job she loved since November causing even more financial stress. I was inquiring about somewhere to donate to help bless this family and heard of more asking the same question. GoFundMe allows easy donating to help support them on this journey they have full of many unknowns.
Thank you for taking the time to read about Todd's story and if financial help is not something you are able do at this time, please keep Todd, Barb and their family in your prayers as they navigate the future. They are so thankful to have many people praying through this time.
