Silvestri Scholarship for Medford High Hockey

Hi Everyone,

My family and I have had such an outpouring of love and support over the passing of my Uncle Lenny that we wanted to do something to honor him and give back to the hockey community he loved so much.

Lenny had a passion for hockey that began at the age of five continuing up until his passing. While at MHS Lenny proudly wore the number 16. After speaking with the MHS Athletic Director and hockey coaches we are proud to say that Lenny’s number 16 Mustang jersey will be retired to hang in the rafters at Loconte Rink along side other Mustang hockey greats. We are also humbled that the Mustang Hockey teams will be wearing Lenny’s number 16 stickers and patches on their helmets and jerseys in his honor in the future seasons. Our long term goal is to hold an annual Silvestri Memorial Hockey Game and Alumni Game with the proceeds going toward annual scholarships in Lenny’s name to benefit graduating MHS hockey players.
