Wow Donuts and Drips 2nd Chance
UPDATE :
Hello! Thank you so much for the overwhelming words of support and encouragement you have offered us throughout these difficult times. Thank you on behalf of myself, my team, my family, and every other struggling small business out there trying to stay afloat and realize their dreams. That said, I'm excited to update everyone with some good news!
Since our story was shared widely on social media and we engaged with Warren Norred and his team at Norred Law, we were able to make great progress in our effort to recover our equipment. After weeks of back-and-forth deliberation, and countless hours fighting to give our team and my family a second chance during this pandemic, we were finally able to come to a settlement deal with our landlord. Thanks to the terms of the settlement, we are able to significantly lower our target goal to only the amount necessary to secure the equipment, hire people to help us move everything out, and pay legal fees and other expenses related to the relocation. We appreciate our landlord's reasonableness and willingness to come to a mutually beneficial resolution.
Still, our future is not secure until we raise this settlement money, so we ask that you help spread this message to other supporters like you. Once we reach our goal, we'll be back in business!
Please help spread this message and any help would be sincerely appreciated. Once we're back up and running, mention that you helped and have some donuts on us! This is just a small gesture for my team and my family to say thank you for all of the support, and we can't wait to be back up and running and make some exciting donuts and cronuts!
Sincerely - David and the Team at WOW! Donuts and Drips

Our family was able to put together a small single unit small business that has been loved and frequented by many of our customers for the past three years. We put so much pride, love, and tears into this business. Orchestrating many food drives, being a part of the community and giving to organizations that help feed those who are hungry - we've become a loved small business in Plano. Now we need your help -
With COVID at its peak we have been blindsided by our landlord. They are leveraging us during these unprecedented times. They forced our family and employees out of our space with no regards to the agreed upon 20 day notice that they originally gave us. We were preparing to vacate the space to allow my family and our employees an opportunity to continue working when the landlord suddenly came in to change the locks to leverage our equipment, our family heirlooms and my father's diabetes medications.
We’ve made every effort to stay in the space that we could but with COVID cases rising and offices still shut down we made the decision that we’d rather keep our staff employed during these difficult times than continue operating out of that space.
With 7 days before our lockout deadline, we were blindsided and had everything taken away from us. Keeping our equipment, our livelihoods, locked up in the space has destroyed any chance that my family and my employees have at staying on our feet and feeding ourselves and the families of our employees.
Our employees who thought they’d be working through this pandemic with a secure job are now either frantically applying for unemployment or looking for other opportunities. Many with young children now have a very uncertain Christmas holiday ahead of them
The landlord does not seem interested in helping us stay in the space and now that we’ve offered to vacate the space, they have decided to abruptly hold our equipment and our personal belongings hostage to keep us from leaving.
It’s a situation that is completely unthinkable and has devastated the lives of my employees and my family’s small single unit business. They don't want us to stay or leave. It's completely demoralizing -
Thank you again, everyone, for your time and help. These funds will help our family get back our equipment, pay for legal fees, pay towards back rent and give ourselves and our employees a chance to get back on our feet during these unprecedented times.
Sincerely
David and Family
