Help towards Simon Booth’s funeral costs
Donation protected
Dear friends, family and kind-hearted strangers,
It is with a heavy heart to announce that our dad/husband, Simon Booth passed away on the morning of Wednesday 13th November 2024 due to complications from his liver cirrhosis.
We plan to fully celebrate his life by providing him with a heartfelt send-off he truly deserves by holding his funeral service at the church steeped in our family history where he was married, then come back locally to the Yeovil crematorium and off to his local pub The George in Sherborne where he frequented.
Funeral Plans:
* Friday 13th December 2024
* 11am Service at Alton Pancras Church, Dorchester DT2 7RW
* 1.20pm Yeovil Crematorium, Bunford Lane, Yeovil BA20 2EJ
* 2.30pm - 7pm Wake at The George Pub, Higher Cheap St, Sherborne DT9 3JD
Both services at the church and at the crematorium will be open to all and won’t be restricted. This is to allow everyone the chance to say their farewells as we are aware due to the distance, some will only be able to attend one service and not the other. With the funeral being split in two parts, please can you complete the feedback link at the end of this post to indicate which service/part of the day you are able to attend so we know how many to expect? For those unable to attend, we plan to stream the service at Alton Pancras church online and we will share a link to this closer to the day, as well as updating this post with the link for viewing.
We are still coming to terms with this huge loss, but we want to ensure he has the send off he deserves. As you may be aware the financial burdens of funeral costs are vast therefore we are reaching out to the community for support in honouring Simon’s memory. Any contribution, no matter how small, will alleviate the financial strain and help us as a family tremendously.
All funds raised will go towards his funeral associated costs and any additional funds made will be given to a charity in his honour.
We appreciate your thoughts, prayers and messages of support during this difficult time and we would like to thank you in advance for your compassion and generosity. Your kindness means the world to us as we navigate through our grief.
With heartfelt gratitude and love,
Lek, Jo and Om
Xx
