Simon Family Funeral for Brenda

I have had the blessing of having the Simon family in my life and in the lives of my employees and clients for more than 10 years. I came to know Brenda (the grandmother of 4 beautiful girls she has raised for many years) through a church organization reaching families in need. My team was so touched by their story that we decided we were going to help one Christmas over 10 years ago...and we have never left! We celebrate every birthday and holiday with them, get them school supplies and clothes, jackets and the occasional need Brenda requested through the years--but what we got was like an extended family! They are beautiful family who is so strong, loving and faithful! The "ROCK" of this family was Brenda, the grandmother who took in all of these girls and loved them, cared for them and guided them to be the wonderful, respectful and confident girls they are growing up to be now.

Brenda died on Sept 16th due to complications from COVID and those girls (now ages 5, 12, 16 and 17) are without their grandmother, role model and protector. Her daughter is stepping in to take care of the girls and address all of the challenges and arrangements following her passing. Brenda would often thank my team at Small Giants for helping them and loving them--the blessing was always ours. Brenda and I became friends and she would ask how she could pray for me and see how I was doing. She was a wonderful, strong woman.

I have started my first-ever GoFundMe for the most worthy of causes--raising money to help the family with her funeral costs. They have tried to gather all of the savings among them but it does not come close to covering this need. As they navigate keeping the children together, getting through the grief and difficult loss, I would ask that you pray for their strength and protection.
