Simon Hjorth Memorial Service Fund

Simon Hjorth passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack on Sunday, May 22nd.  Simon was kind, caring, funny and had a wonderful contagious smile.  He was a sweet and wonderful husband to his wife, Camilla, and devoted father to his two children, Fred and Caroline.  Simon was such a big part of the Eanes school community, volunteering and being present whenever and wherever he could, and a wonderful neighbor.  His tennis community he so loved, and his outstanding tennis skills were surpassed only by his status as a world class table tennis player.  Simon also took such joy in sharing all things Danish, between telling us stories or sharing Danish dishes.  He also took great joy in creating professional and personal connections and was loved and appreciated by friends, colleague, and associates worldwide.  He had a passion for professional development of others and was an amazing and beloved mentor and peer.

As Camilla and the family are trying to understand how to move forward, our goal with this Go Fund Me is to alleviate the initial expenses they will have for Simon's memorial in both Austin and Denmark.   Memorial will be Monday, June 6 at 6:30 at Lost Creek Country Club.   Bbq and drinks to follow.
