Simon Kalumba & Family
Donation protected
Simon Kalumba works at the 7-Eleven store on Buena Vista Ave in Alameda, CA. He's known by all of his regular customers as a bright spot as he always has a smile on his face. Simon supports his family back in Uganda by sending all the money he makes in the U.S.A. back home to ensure his grandchildren can be in school and have a better future.
On November 12th Simon tragically lost his son Richard to pneumonia. Richard is survived by his wife and 4 kids all of whom still live in Uganda. Without Richard's ability to support his family there is a risk that his children will no longer be able to continue in school. On top of all of this, Simon lost his mother just a few months ago.
Please help Simon’s family by donating anything extra you may have so that he can keep the kids in school and hopefully be able to return to Uganda in the near future to help with Richard’s funeral arrangements.
We are hoping to have Simon the funds by Christmas so that he can spend the holiday with his family. Round trip flights to Uganda from SFO are about $2300. Please help the 7-Eleven family support one of their own this holiday season.
