** This campaign has ended. Please see an update from Scott Martin below, and to stay in touch, follow Simon's on Twitter (@simonsjukebox) and Instagram (@simonstavern) -- you can follow Svea on Facebook, as well. Everyone involved in this effort has been truly moved by the support and generosity of this amazing community! **

It’s not worth wasting words on how the coronavirus pandemic has introduced peril, chaos, and grief to the lives of so many. We all know the grim reality.

The employees of Simon’s Tavern are not immune to this reality. No business for Simon’s means no income for them.

Simon’s is doing everything possible to stay open once everyone is past the worst of this pandemic, and still be a daily, weekly, or even just special occasion destination for the family Simons has developed since opening in 1934. A huge part of this is taking care of the beloved team while Simon's is closed so that it’s easier for them to come back once they’re open again

All proceeds raised will go to the employees of Simon’s Tavern. I’m a regular who's setting up and helping promote this GoFundMe; all funds raised will be administered by Simon’s owner Scott Martin.

Please be generous. Glögg on me if you catch me there when we’re through this.

By the way: Simon's on CBS Sunday Morning. Enjoy. https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/sun-never-sets-for-some-neighborhood-dives/
