Thanks for checking out this fundraiser to replace my front tooth. This has been 15 years in the making and we're finally coming to the end of the journey thanks to Dr. Pratik Patel and American Dental Associates in Philadelphia and my dear friend Tommy Yanez, my Aunt Pamela, and other family. And thank you all for your support! Read further for more of the story.

Simon's toothless journey:
In Fall of 2008, Simon's first year at George School (go Cougars), Simon knocked his tooth out while in a game on the Freshman Soccer squad. The tooth came out in full, without a crack or fracture or anything. An emergency dentist put it back in and glued it to the other front tooth. It lasted all 4 years at GS. Then Simon took a gap year, volunteering at the Monteverde Friends School in Costa Rica. While there the tooth became infected and had to be removed. An implant specialist in San Jose put an implant in but it was not done correctly and failed 2 years later. After a dental surgeon tried to save the implant it eventually had to be completely removed in 2016. Simon has been toothless since!
After graduating from Green Mountain College in 2018 Simon moved back to the Philadelphia area to support family in need. He also quickly began supporting the Lenape Indian Tribe of Delaware in their efforts to restore honor and dignity to local ecosystems. Simon has engaged in this volunteer work for over 4 years now. Check out this video about the Lenape Forest Garden project and enjoy Simon's toothless face :)
Recent focus:
After living extremely simply and working part time jobs to support volunteer work and family, Simon is looking toward getting a full time job with benefits and taking some time to focus on exciting music projects (follow that work here on Patreon). The plan is to continue supporting the land and water restoration projects already started but also make the time and space to take care of some health issues like this tooth!
Here's a message from the indomitable Tommy Lodge Yanez...
"Hola!I have an important and heartfelt request to make. Our dear friend Simon James, who has been a true pillar of positivity in our community, needs our help. Over the past few years, Simon has dedicated himself to his passion for music, bringing joy to all of us with his beautiful creations. Not only that, but he has been a pillar of support for his family members during challenging times and has also been actively involved as a volunteer in restoring Native Habitats with the Lenape Indian Tribe of Delaware. Right now, Simon is facing some financial hurdles, including the need to replace a tooth, which is quite costly (but thank you to Pratik and American Dental Associates for the hook up). Beyond that, Simon plans to move to Phillly, where beautiful new opportunities await him, but he needs some financial support to make that dream a reality.
I am reaching out to our wonderful community of friends, family, goons, and goofs to come together and make a difference in Simon's life. Your contribution, no matter the amount, will go a long way in helping him cover the expenses of his dental treatment and take a step closer to a smooth transition to Philly.
Simon has brought so much beauty and positivity into this world through his music and thoughtful caring self, and I am asking you to return the love and support him. By helping him during this challenging time, we can collectively make this year more financially and emotionally stable for him. Consider signing up on his Patreon account too, where you can support his musical gifts and stay up to date on all the beautiful things he's doing. This is important shit and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity and compassion. Together, we can make a positive impact on Simon's life, as he makes a positive impact on the local communities and the world. With love, Tommy + Simon"
