Simon’s new knee

Nearly 27 years ago, a young man stepped onto the sands of the List not realizing what was in store for him and the future of a sport he loved. He didn’t know he would be on the front lines of facilitating the sport of medieval armored combat throughout the United States, nor did he know he would become one of the most influential fighters of all time. This young man, Simon Rohrich, has become a legend since beginning his fighting career those many years ago. All of us from the armored combat community, learn his name first when we begin in this sport. We look up to him, learn from him, and strive to hit as hard and as well as him. If you watch a live stream of any fights of Simon’s you’ll read comments like “Simon Rohrich makes onions cry”, “Simon Rohrich is why Waldo is hiding”, and “Simon Rohrich doesn’t shower, he only takes blood baths”. After so many years in this beloved sport, Simon has to take a step back. He has torn his ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) in his left knee and his only recourse now is an expensive surgical repair. With a $5,000.00 out of pocket deductible, the armored combat community is looking to aid one of their own, one of their greatest. The sooner we can come together to help raise funds to alleviate the financial burden of needing such an expensive surgery, the sooner Simon can have this surgery, and the sooner he can be back in the List.
