Simpkins Family

This past September, my sister Shannon, loving wife to Tim, and a wonderful mother to three young children was diagnosed with Invasive Lobular Mammary Carcinoma, an aggressive form of breast cancer.  On November 8, Shannon underwent a double mastectomy and started her treatment plan on Dec 19th, that will include 16 rounds of chemotherapy and 30 days of radiation treatment.

The next year will be physically, emotionally, and financially challenging for their family.  Shannon’s diagnosis came before she was to start her new job.  Due to the unfortunate timing, she was left without new health benefits, or the option of short or long term disability coverage, leaving significant financial stress, as her husband Tim is currently the sole provider for the family.  He is self-employed and any time that he will have to take off will add to their financial burden.

Shannon and Tim are always offering help and are not ones to ask for help in situations like this.  Any donations will help to lessen their burden over the next year.  Thank you for considering donating to the Simpkin's family as they navigate this difficult journey.
