Sincerely, Jonah: A Howard University Thesis Film

Greetings Everyone!

My name is Jeriah Stewart and I am a graduating senior TV & Film major at Howard University. I am currently producing a senior thesis project written and directed by Cyan Shreve called, SINCERELY, JONAH. This is an experimental underdog film about a single father torn between resignation and perseverance after discovering he has a terminal illness.

We wanted to tell this story to validate and spotlight Black fathers who fight for their kids. Cyan and I have close bonds with our dads and hope this film inspires other fathers to know they are seen and loved even during difficult situations. Our goal is to take on this subject with empathy and authenticity.

We also want to make sure all cast and crew members feel safe, comfortable, and great about their actions.

What we need funding for:

• Location Fees, Vehicles & Transportation

• Camera Equipment, Props & Wardrobe

• Meals, Water, and Snacks

• Production Insurance

• Festival Costs
