Sing Sing Family Collective & Sweet Freedom Farm
Donation protected
We are a grassroots network of support made up of Sing Sing Correctional Facility residents, their families, friends, and allies, based in Ossining, NY.
Co-founded by Renee & Joseph Wilson (currently incarcerated at Sing Sing CF), our leadership comes from the inside out, and aims to connect Sing Sing Families to the Ossining community, and beyond.
Our current organizing focus is visitation support for families, getting fresh produce to our loved ones inside via the Grow Food Not Prisons initiative with Sweet Freedom Farm, and advocacy efforts to improve the visitation experience.
All funds raised here will go to support our families, via food and transportation, warm clothing, upcoming fresh produce distributions, and events.
Stay tuned for more photos and stories, share, and support if you can!
Current community partners & collaborators include: Sweet Freedom Farm, Showing Up for Racial Justice Westchester, Ossining Allyship Collective, Release Aging People in Prison (RAPP), Bethany Arts Community, Hudson Link for Higher Education in Prison, Lower HV DSA, WESPAC, as well as local businesses: Mike Risko Music School, Bigfoot Creamery, Little Star Pastry, Black Cow Croton, First Village Coffee, Penny & Ting, Define Your Dreams Apparel, Welcome Future Kids, and more.
