Singapore Gives: AU Wildlife Bushfire Relief

Indiscriminate in their destruction, months of massive wildfires spread by dry heat and strong winds have burnt (and are still burning) across huge swathes of Australia. With so many lives lost, thousands of homes destroyed, ten of thousands of people displaced and almost a billion animals killed along with a third of their habitats simply gone, Australia needs our support now, more than ever.

Whether its friends, family, culture, academics or music, many of us in the local underground music scene have strong ties to the country. With Disrupt.Co’s close-knit relationship with partners, bands and friends, this campaign is set up together with our S.O.S Save The Wildlife benefit show with the sole aim of raising funds for all the losses incurred.

Our objective is to raise a total of AUD $1500 and however small our contribution may be compared to the grand scheme of things, we believe that together, all of us can make a difference.

With utmost sincerity, we hope that you too will be able to play your part in helping to make a difference, no matter how big or small, every little bit helps.

WIRES (NSW Wildlife Information Rescue and Education Service)'s mission is to actively rehabilitate and preserve Australian wildlife and to inspire others to do the same. Every year, WIRES assists tens of thousands of animals; the charity received over 95,000 requests for rescue assistance over the last financial year alone. Currently, WIRES is facing the biggest event in its history; raging bushfires have ravaged over 5 million hectares of forests and an estimated 1 billion native animals have lost their lives.
