We are heartbroken to share the devastating news that James McCoy, father of two young daughters, tragically lost his life when he was struck by an impaired driver while riding his e-bike in the designated bike lane. James was on his way to pick up his daughters from school when struck by the impaired driver northbound on Jones Blvd just past Elkhorn. This unexpected and senseless loss has left his family in deep grief and facing significant emotional and financial challenges. The impaired driver was uninsured and driving an unregistered vehicle.

James McCoy was a devoted father, a caring friend, and a beloved member of our community. He always put his family first and worked tirelessly to provide a loving and nurturing environment for his daughters. His sudden passing has left a void that can never be filled. His girls are in kindergarden and third grade in NW Las Vegas.
