Single Loving Father Killed in DUI accident

We are heartbroken to share the devastating news that James McCoy, father of two young daughters, tragically lost his life when he was struck by an impaired driver while riding his e-bike in the designated bike lane. James was on his way to pick up his daughters from school when struck by the impaired driver northbound on Jones Blvd just past Elkhorn. This unexpected and senseless loss has left his family in deep grief and facing significant emotional and financial challenges. The impaired driver was uninsured and driving an unregistered vehicle- he was also a repeat DUI offender with multiple active DUI cases and bench warrants.

James McCoy was a devoted father, a caring friend, and a beloved member of our community. His sudden passing has left a void that can never be filled. His girls are in kindergarden and third grade in NW Las Vegas.

We are raising funds to support James McCoy’s family during this incredibly difficult time. The funds will be used to cover funeral expenses, provide for the immediate living expenses and needs of his daughters, and help the family navigate the financial uncertainties they now face.
