On Sunday night, April 10th, at 10:30 pm, an accident caused an extremely damaging fire in the upstairs area of my family home. Me, along with my four kids and my brother, were able to make it outside before any personal harm, but everything in the house was impacted by severe fire damage, and we lost our belongings — including necessities for my 2-year-old daughter, among other things, we are unable to live in our home. As a mother and widow of a veteran, I know the recovery process won’t be easy, but I’m keeping a positive mindset and hoping to restore what was lost to provide for my family.
