Single mom injured at work with 3rd degree burns

Donation protected
This is my cousin Kara. She was working at a coffee shop, in the beautiful mountains in North Carolina, when a freak accident occurred and left her face severely scalded with second and third degree burns. The severity of her burns required her to be transported to Georgia for treatment, as that was the nearest burn center to her on the east coast. She lost vision in her eyes when they were burned; hopefully after some time to heal, her vision will be restored 100%. As she explained it, one moment she could see and the next, she was being rushed to the ER by some law enforcement officers that just so happened to be at the coffee shop when the accident occurred. She is in unbelievable shock and pain. She’s been unable to work since the accident and as a single mom, her situation is quickly progressing into a financial nightmare.

Our family has suffered tremendous loss, grieved together, yet found a way to go on living, all while honoring our loved ones memories, loving each other dearly and always being there for one another. Including now. I don’t ask for help, ever, but I’m asking for it now, for Kara. For those of you that may know me, but not my cousin Kara, here’s what I’d like to share.

There has been so much tragedy and loss in Kara’s life, but that has not stopped Kara from always remaining determined, fighting for her and her girls. She has never, not even once, stopped trying to live her best life possible, overcoming any and all obstacles. She is such a strong and resilient woman that could really use some help right now. She is unable to work at this time and is in need of some financial assistance, so she can stop worrying about things like keeping a roof over their heads, keeping the utilities on, any upcoming medical bills, stressing over how they’re going to buy food, etc. Instead, she needs to stay focused on her recovery, so she can continue being the most incredible mom for her precious daughters. You’ll never find a more deserving person. She has the most genuine heart and I promise you this: any donation, big or small, will be appreciated more than you’ll ever know and used only to care for her and her girls. If you can’t make a financial donation, it is completely understandable. I only ask that you please consider helping in other ways by sharing this with your friends and keeping Kara and her girls in your prayers. Thank you in advance. All my love to you all, Stephanie
