Single Mother needs help during holiday
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Alexis and im doing a small part and helping my sister set up a Go Fund Me page, this is very important to me cause it will give my
sister a huge weight off her chest.
On November 15, 2023 was the day when Samantha's life went upside down.
She is a mom of 2 boys. Under someone else's supervision, her youngest Christopher got hurt really badly. He has received 3rd degree burns on both of his legs/feet, butt and left hand.
She has been staying at the Helen devos hospital and rehabilitation at the same time waiting 2 weeks about needing to do skin grafts.
She had to take time off of work and stay at the hospital for these holidays. Money is tight right now for the season. Any donation or prayer is needed for her and her boys. Anything helps! Thank you for your time on reading this and have a great Holiday season.
UPDATE as of 11/29/23
Chris has been doing great. He was able to take a couple steps today first steps in 2 weeks. He started eating and drinking good again, and he's sleeping more. They got another month at least before they think about a discharge. We are expecting to have to do skin grafts on his left feet Tuesday, which will extend his stay longer. But we are hoping his body can do the work without the need for surgery.
UPDATE as of 12/2/23
Christopher Healed so much. Parts we thought were dead made skin and his Whole bottom of his foot is healed. They are still monitoring the sides were on for Tuesday for Skin Grafts but they will take less skin!❤️

Christopher also got chosen for Once Upon the room at the rehabilitation and someone sponsored his room and filled it with dinasour themed stuff.

UPDATE as of 12/7/23
Christopher had skin graft done on Tuesday they took about 6 square inches of skin from the thigh, and sutured it onto 2 locations on the left foot. They didn't mesh it as they didn't feel it was necessary to increase the area, because so much had healed. This was a surprise to all of us, because we were expecting a larger area.

Christopher been eating lots of protein which is helping to create new skin❤️. That's the key reason his body has been able to heal so much. So, overall the surgery went even better than expected, and he should be able to heal the new grafted skin within 2-3 weeks. There is new dressing covering the grafted skin which needs to be changed every 2-3 days, so they are scheduled to return for sedated dressing changes on Friday, then Monday.

UPDATE As of 12/17/23 He had him bandages removed Friday and is looking so so good! From a therapy standpoint he ready for discharge but waiting on medical hoping to hear back on Tuesday. Great news is he is finally walking all by himself and he is doing so good. They have to constantly moisturize his feet, thigh, and leg.
