Single mum, 4 children.

Hi there,

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to read this. Secondly, please note that the family wishes to stay anonymous, therefore, I am unable to provide a photo of the family.

I am currently a Support Coordinator under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) for a family of 5. A single mum, and 4 children (3 living with a disability), living in Geelong, Victoria.

Currently there is an approx. 5 year wait on the Department of Housing list for a Government owned home.

Mum, has reported that she can no longer pay her mortgage as the cost of living is significantly increasing, and her children's support needs are also increasing.

The NDIS are supporting the family in some capacity, however, there is currently a huge back log with reviewing participants plans.

Unfortunately the home that Mum currently owns, is in desperate need of attention. . I am hoping to receive support from the local community to help pay for the essential maintenance that needs to be fixed.

Mum is at breaking point, and desperately needing to get the house fixed. If Mum does go down the path of selling, the family will immediately become homeless due to current rental crisis'.
