Sink & Potty for Dover St. Park
Tax deductible
Hello Neighbors!
Many thanks to all who've contributed in this community fund-drive to bring a portable bathroom and hand-washing sink to our beloved Dover Street Park. With the many neighbors and folks using the park, a bathroom is greatly needed. Please note that while the City of Oakland currently isn't financially supporting this undertaking, it is approved by Parks & Rec.
Anyone who's visited the park can benefit from the playground and grassy field, the 70+ fruit trees, medicinal plants and 100+ edible varieties of annual and perennial veggies from around the world.
One major amenity this great park is missing is a bathroom and hand-washing sink. The volunteer gardening team feels a bathroom is a critical need, so as to protect public health in the park and help avoid bathroom use in the garden space.
The gardening team has partnered with OCUEJ as a sponsor to facilitate the administrative process of bringing a portable bathroom and sink to the park for an estimated 6-month period. The bathroom will be stationed just outside the park, by the bike rack, and will be locked at night.
Will you help support in the ongoing maintenance costs of the toilet? Any donation is appreciated. Thanks in advance for considering!
