Sinks and More for Crystal's Communi-Tea House

Hello friends, family and tea lovers!

It is a true honor to create this Go Fund Me to support Crystal Scarlett in the next steps of bringing a proper Tea House to Mount Shasta. Our town desperately needs a place for the community to gather, drink and learn about tea, connect, relax, and create. The only tea shop in Mount Shasta did not survive the pandemic; it was a town favorite for over 15 years. The Chai Shop also closed down after nearly 7 years in business. We really miss them both, and there is a need in our community for a tea house.

She has a crystal clear vision (pun intended), a budget and a game plan to bring her heart-centered vision to this magical area.

Crystal's purpose is to create a safe, welcoming place for people to come together, to share their offerings, hold workshops, sell their crafts and most of all to learn about and enjoy special teas from around the world. Mount Shasta is the missing link in Tea Houses on the west coast, and Crystal is dedicated to creating the sweetest tea house in the heart of downtown Mount Shasta to fill the gap.

Crystal signed the lease to the tea house in October 2020, during the auspicious time of the pandemic and while businesses were being shut down. She has been resilient and courageous by holding the space, having a precise vision and unshakable dedication to serving the people and visitors of Mount Shasta. Crystal has maintained the rent and expenses of the building for nearly two years with her savings and personal income. To get to the next phase of the creation of Welcome OM CommuniTea House, we need your help!

It is now time to finish the project...There are specific needs to satisfy CA Health & Fire Code requirements for the Tea House to provide prepared Tea, herbal beverages and snacks to the public. Even to sell loose leaf tea, there needs to be proper plumbing, commercial sinks and a prep area. Right now Crystal is doing an amazing job hosting community events, offering a storefront for local artists and alchemists to display their artwork and feature their handcrafted goods and products, as well as a variety of beautiful teaware and delightful organic tea for purchase.

Your donations will fund new special commercial sinks, installation, plumbing, permits, refrigerators, countertop and shelving construction, and electrical needs, as well as help purchase necessary items to create the tea lounge. Crystal has a budget, a design plan and a business plan in place; all things are ready to go; she just needs the funds to execute. In future updates, we will share more about the greater vision, the overall budget, and expenses.
