Siobhan’s legal fees

Over the past year I have been sharing stories of sexism, harassment, sexual assault, gender-based discrimination and bullying in the UK craft beer industry on my Instagram account  - inspired by the work of Brienne @ratmagnet over in the US. 

I have received hundreds of stories from people across the country, and have been invited to give talks and speak on panels about my experiences and on how we can make the industry a better, more equitable place. 

However, this week I received a lawsuit from someone who claims they were identifiable in an anonymous story (which I did actually take down when they first threatened legal action 11 months ago) and that this has caused them financial loss. 

The story in question was about allegations of sexual abuse; I stand by the principle that we should believe women, and that the stories of victims deserve to be heard.

I have (re)started this crowdfunder to raise money for my legal fees, as I fully intend to fight against this.
