A Plea for Support During a Challenging Time for Me*
Hello everyone,
My name is Siphosethu Cakwebe from South Africa , currently working and staying in Florida, USA as an H2B seasonal worker. I arrived in October 2024 for work.
Earlier this year, I was diagnosed with keratoconus in my right eye, which currently has corneal scarring.
I'm reaching out in hope, seeking assistance during a difficult period in my life. Living with keratoconus has become increasingly challenging, and I've been advised to undergo a corneal transplant to restore my vision. This surgery will require an extended recovery period, forcing me to take an indefinite leave from work, potentially exceeding six months.
As I plan to return home to undergo surgery. Unfortunately, I do not have any medical aid back home to cover the costs, and I have tried to get coverage by medical aid, but since it’s an existing condition, I won’t be able to join any medical aid.
The financial burden of medical expenses, coupled with potential loss of income, is overwhelming. Your contribution would be a lifeline, helping me navigate this uncertain time with greater peace of mind. Your support would assist with:
- Medical bills and surgical costs
- Rehabilitation and post-operative care
Your kindness can help alleviate some of the stress, allowing me to focus on my health and well-being. I'm grateful for your consideration and generosity.
Thank you for being a source of hope during this challenging time.
