We are setting this donation funding for Siqi's leukemia treatment.
On October 10th siqi was diagnosed with Leukemia.
Siqi started induction the following Monday.
Chemo for the first week was doing its work. We saw a drop in her blast cell count to nearly zero on 7th day. We had high hopes for a full recovery.
However...
14 days into the treatment, bone marrow test came back with confirmation that she was ALL Ph+.
This changed her prognosis. Target therapy treatment be needed along with chemo to suppress the chance of relapse after remission. Even with that, there is a high possibility of relapse because of PH+. The best option may be to perform bone marrow transplant to minimize the risk going into relapse.
Doctors have already started the matching process to search for donor.
