Ever since I was a wee lad, I had dreams of being a race car driver. As we all know, life has a good way of teaching us humility, but also determination. It is from this determination that I forged War Waggin'; a 1963 Rambler Wagon I've had since I was a teenager, resurrected recently as a track day toy to rival modern sports cars.

Back to the theme of humility, I never had much money, and I found every way I possibly could to build this car on a shoestring budget.

So far I have built an entire driveline, front and rear suspension, chassis mods, etc all for $5160 including the purchase price of the car, either by hunting down specials at the junkyard or making the parts myself from scratch. This is less than the cost of a brake job on many of the cars I race with.

I've already done most of the hard stuff, but now I need your help! I'm trying to get into college this fall but I don't want to give up on my racing dreams. I set a goal of $1500 because that should get me a set of 4 wheels (the new brakes I found don't fit behind my current wheels) and tires (currently running some haggard old craigslist all-seasons...) and brake pads/cooling ducts. With better tires and brakes, I'll be able to run with the big dogs.

If you all donate more than that, all proceeds will go to this making this build more and more ludicrous, track time, driving lessons and the production of many youtube videos keeping you all up to date on my hoonery.
