Sister Mary Killeen and Mukuru Street Boys
Donation protected
We are a small group of Irish volunteers supporting a residential Rehab Centre for street boys in Mukuru, Nairobi. Thanks to our families, friends and supporters we have been able to help in the education of many of these young boys, build a new classroom block, a library, basketball court and more recently a solar system to supply hot water to their dormitories. We could not have achieved these goals without the support of Bank of Ireland Staff Third World Fund, Garda Third World Fund, Leinster Rugby, Calary Church, Cullen Communications and many other groups.
Our aim now is to provide a playing field where they can learn football and rugby and to fund coaches for their training sessions.
We asked the boys to take part in the "Jerusalema Challenge" to show the world their many talents that have been developed while at the centre.
