JAMAICAN SISTER IN DEBT
Donation protected
Asalaamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, dearest Ummah
I pray that you are all in the best of health, and eemaan.
An opportunity has reached me, to help a sister who is at risk of losing the family businesses and ultimately, her home. For clarification, I personally know the sister, alhamdulillah.
Since the passing of her beloved mother, the sister has maintained the family businesses (which were founded by her parents 60+ years ago, alhamdulillah). All was going well, until recently. Her siblings have been behaving abhorrently, and provide no support. The siblings are narcissistic, abusive, and have always treated her indifferently since childhood. Inevitably, this has a negative impact on the sister’s mental health.
The family businesses are the sister’s only source of income. She does not reside in the UK, so she has no access to financial assistance. Sadly, the sister has resorted to applying for loans. The loan companies have been unable to assist her, and suggested that she sells her household items in order to clear the debts.
I would initially like to raise 101,425.91 JMD, which is in the region of £500 (GBP), insha’Allāh. Please take into consideration that GoFundMe deduct transaction fees, so I have set the fundraiser to £700 (GBP). The businesses are the sister’s bread and butter, insha’Allāh. If the businesses continue to fail, the sister would face further financial difficulties with regard to her home.
Please consider donating, insha’Allāh. If you are unable to donate, please share the link with your families, friends, and spouses - and ask them to do the same.
The Best of People and the Best of Deeds:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “The most beloved of people to Allāh is the one who brings them the most benefit—and the most beloved deed to Him is making a Muslim happy or relieving his suffering or paying his debt or taking away his hunger." (At-Tabarāni in Al-Kabīr, see As-Sahīhah of Al-Albāni, no. 906)
