*SISTERS OF EID*
No one should have to spend the special day of Eid on their own in sadness and despair. Muslims are one body… Let us collectively make this Eid amazing and unforgettable for our sisters who would otherwise be on their own, lonely, dejected and with nowhere to go. Sisters for Iftar have been approached by so many sisters who are desperate to have a positive Eid celebrating the departure of the cherished month of Ramadhan in the company of other caring and compassionate sisters. Let us all join and help. Insha’Allah, together we can make this happen. If we try we know Allah the Almighty will support us reaching out to those sisters who through no fault of their own are lonely and isolated. The Sisters of Iftar events have been ground breaking. The generosity from local people has been heart touching and incredible. So here is the next challenge; Let’s generate enough funds so that we can hold a special Eidh Celebration for our sisters who have nobody. They will come from a cohort of refugees, single parents, widows, those who have been ostracised and those who have been orphaned. We are not to judge but we are here to help insha’Allah. Together, we can make this happen. And remember, whatever you donate will be multiplied by none other than Allah the Almighty as you will be donating for the poor and the needy on our doorstep here. Please donate generously. Let’s make this Eidh an Eidh to remember.

Tragically, I lost my entire family in a house fire. Despite being the day of Eid, it can be very difficult. I spend my eid with my kids at home we have no family to visit or anyone to visit us. I have been a part of sisters of Iftar from the beginning on the whats Ap group (March 2023) and I have met the most amazing ladies who I now call sisters and companions. I would love for my children to have an aunt, to witness love and compassion in this world. This Eid gathering will not just be a one day event it will flourish into long term sisterhood and inspiration to our children that good leads to great things Subhanallah.
Thank you to all those who made us and our children feel so valued and special. Long may ‘Sisters of Iftar’ Continue, Ameen.
