Sisters With A Dream, Cambridge, Massachusetts

Established in 2017, Sisters With A Dream is a mentoring program for young girls of color and their allies in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. We focus on themes about women of color in particular, women inventors and their inventions, and women's achievements in general. We realize there are mentoring groups for girls, however, they are often for middle and high school girls and most often do expose the girls to the achievements of women of color who look like them and who are confident and successful - regardless of their social and economical background.

This year our program was unable to receive funding from the Cambridge Public Schools or the City of Cambridge. We do weekly programming and to offer the level of service our girls deserve, we need to raise $10,000. These funds will support, supplies, materials, fieldtrips, rituals and ceremonies, Sisters Swag and meeting food. Please consider donating to this fabulous cause.
