Sit with an angel, Maliyha's bench

Maliyha was a spirited little girl who loved to dance. For every person who was lucky enough to meet her she brought life and happiness in every moment. It didn't matter what your background, how rich, poor, selfish or kind you were, she loved everyone the same. For those of you who don't know, Maliyha was murdered by her adoptive father and stepmother by starvation. She passed just a few days before Christmas. Her biological family was pushed out of the picture early on and due to her stepmothers actions, contact became non existent. Maliyha touched every soul in the community with her tragic story, and even more so for those who knew her. But this is not what we, the family, want her to be remembered for. We want her to be remembered for the free spirited kid she was. As the little girl who would listen to just about anybody, and give you a dance at the end of it all to bring some sunshine back into your darkest days. She loved to play and color, especially with purple. She would offer you a hug or some warm snuggles if you needed it. And she loved her popcorn. For these reasons we are trying to help her biological sisters raise money for a park bench, commemorative plaque and a tree to remind anyone who chooses to sit and spend some time with our angel that they are not alone. Along with something of this nature comes the permits and fees associated. We are trying to get this installed at West Canyon Rim Park. Once the costs have been covered, any excess donations will go to the Kid Center to help fight childhood abuse. There is currently another GoFundMe page for something similar. Please understand and know that page was put up without the families knowledge or consent. The family was never notified or asked to donate when that page went up. Do not be fooled. No one knows Maliyha better than we do, and we want to share what little bit of comfort she brought to the world, with you. So please, whether it be $5 or $500, everything helps the sisters move towards their goal to give the community and our family the opportunity to sit with an angel.
