My name is Michael Sternfeld, and from the heart, I would like to share with you a new project which may help re-balance and heal our divided plane. How?
Through an exploration of Sita—the central heroine of the epic Ramayana and a perfect archetypal embodiment of the goddess.
It’s such a blessing that the divine feminine is blossoming in our world, inspiring women to deepen their experience of their own feminine power. Sita—born of the earth–can serve as a timely role model to grace the evolution of humankind on earth.
The Project
We are bringing together ancient & modern in a new audio production retelling Sita’s story in a powerful new light. This production– called Sita’s Gems– presents some of the most profound passages featuring Sita in the Valmiki Ramayana, read by master storytellers, and woven together with commentary by a collection of renowned women wisdom leaders.
The women involved in this project include world-renowned environmentalist Vandana Shiva; Kirtan singer & co-host of the program, Nina Rao; cardiologist & author Kavitha Chinnaiyan; spiritual leader and Ayurvedic expert Candace Badgett; best-selling novelist Chitra Devakaruni; author & wisdom teacher Mirabai Starr; author & lineage holder Acharya Shunya; Divine Mother healer & author Connie Huebner; Sita’s Fire author Vrinda Sheth; author and global peace activist Dena Merriam; and poet and author Saraswati Nagpal.
This powerful group of women have come together to reframe Sita’s story, elevating it to its rightful place at the core of the Ramayana. Listening to this audio production will be truly empowering to women, while inspiring all seekers of the core truths of these sacred texts.
I’m sincerely reaching out to you here to ask for your support. This is a big project and it’s near completion. The production expenses are quite high and I've been self-funding thus far. The funds—needed August 1–will be used for production and promotional expenses to bring this project to the final stages of completion and launch Sita’s Gems in September to a worldwide audience.
